JOEL HARMEYER
Executive Director
Joel is a Fort Wayne native with nearly thirty years of experience working for non-profit organizations. He earned an undergraduate degree in marketing from Ball State University and a graduate degree in business administration from Indiana Tech. Joel is passionate about Fort Wayne and thrilled to lead an organization with such a rich history as the Fort Wayne Medical Society. Joel finds tremendous value in working with the society’s physician members to make practicing medicine in Indiana as easy as possible. With help from wonderful partners at the ISMA and like-minded state representatives, tangible progress on this front is truly being made. When not working, Joel travels with his wife of thirty years, Andrea who is a third-grade teacher at Lafayette Meadows.
LINDSEY LIEPOLD
Office Manager
Lindsey has been working closely with doctors for 15 years, taking a special interest in the prevention of physician burnout and physician self-care. Recently married, her and her husband share four incredible children. Lindsey's personal passion & hobby outside of work is trauma-informed embodiment coaching, having completed her professional coaching certification through Lark's Song & currently training for her board certification. You can find her and her family outside playing on most days, and in the rare occasion there is "free time" you might spot her hanging out On the Landing. Lindsey is a self-proclaimed foodie, speaks 3 languages (Spanish, Portuguese & English) & loves to travel any chance she gets. She loves working with our doctors and is excited to be a part of providing our members with a neutral ground to gather on as we navigate this modern healthcare era together.
